Dudley Hudspeth, MD is the founder and senior surgeon of Desert
Cardiothoracic Surgeons. He has provided high quality surgical services in
Arizona since 1995. Dr. Hudspeth is active in the local medical community
having served as President of the Medical Staff at Banner Baywood Heart
Hospital, and currently as a member of several hospital committees for
quality improvement and endovascular surgery. He is a fellow in the American
College of Surgeons and an active member in the Society of Thoracic
Surgeons. He plays a vital role in bringing advanced surgical treatments to
the valley in the areas of atrial fibrillation surgery, repair of thoracic
aneurysms with endoluminal grafts, stentless valves, and more.

Michael Maxwell, MD joined Desert Cardiothoracic Surgeons in November of
2003 after gaining over 7 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience in a
private practice setting in Charlotte, NC. He has served as a Clinical
Instructor in Surgery at the University of North Carolina and currently
serves as a Preceptor for students in the Physicians Assistant program at
Midwestern University. He is active in the medical community serving on
several hospital committees for quality improvement and critical care. He is
a member of the American College of Surgeons and has presented and published
on various topics in cardiovascular medicine.
